  • Onion
  • Green cabbage head
  • Red bell pepper
  • Marinara sauce
  • Tomato paste
  • Beef broth

How to make Keto Low Carb Unstuffed Cabbage Casserole Rolls

  1. In a large skillet brown ground beef and onion over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
  2. Add garlic to the skillet and sauté for 30 seconds more. Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, beef broth, paprika, thyme, salt, and black pepper to skillet and stir.
  3. Gently mix in chopped cabbage. Bring mixture to a boil. Cover skillet, reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Stir, recover, then simmer for 10 minutes longer, or until cabbage is tender.
  4. Remove lid and add tomato paste. Stir and simmer, uncovered, for 5-10 minutes, or until sauce reduces slightly.
  5. If you prefer a thicker sauce, add additional tomato paste and stir. Serve over cooked rice or without for low carb.

Can I freeze Unstuffed Cabbage Casserole Rolls

The leftover can be frozen and reheated for another day. Freeze up to 3 months. Refrigerate up to 3 to 4 days.
Let the casserole cool then freeze in portions in freezer-safe containers. To reheat, thaw overnight in the refrigerator and then either microwave until hot or heat in the oven in an oven-safe dish covered with foil.
Split it among 2 smaller casseroles and freeze one for later, this always comes out great.
