Ingredients
  • 2tbsp butter
  • 2pounds sirloin steak cut into cubes
  • 1/2 diced onion
  • 6ounces white mushroomssliced
  • 1tsp minced garlic
  • 1tsp dried thyme
  • 1tsp Sea Salt
  • 1/2tsp fresh ground black pepper
  • 1cup beef broth
  • 1tbsp dijon mustard
  • 1cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/2cup sour cream
  • 1/4tsp ground nutmeg
Instructions
  1. Heat butter to medium-high heat in a large skillet.
  2. Season the steak with salt and pepper.
  3. Add the meat to the pan, and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, until browned. Remove from the pan and allow to rest.
  4. Add the onion, mushrooms, garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper to the pan. Cook for 5 minutes, until the onion has softened. Reduce heat to medium.
  5. Add broth, heavy cream, and mustard Dijon mustard and cook for 5 to 8 minutes, until thickened. Whisk.
  6. Return the beef to the pan, add nutmeg and simmer for 5 more minutes.
  7. Stir in sour cream and cook until heated through, being careful not to allow it to boil.
