- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and creamy.
- Mix in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Stir until combined, then fold in the chocolate chips.
- For thicker cookies, chill the dough for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Scoop the dough onto a lined baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
