My strawberry jam recipe is made with only 3 ingredients: strawberries, erythritol or swerve and lemon juice and zest. Yes, it’s true! No sugar added! So it´s a perfect jam for a keto diet.
Many of the store-bought jams are loaded with unhealthy sugar. That can be because sweet can sell better for a lot of foods. However, not everyone enjoys all of the sweetness.
No refined sugar, no gelatin, no pectin. Just healthy, simple ingredients packed with nutrition. Ripe fruit contains so much natural sweetness in the form of fructose! So why do you need to add a lot of refined sugar to your jams?
Ditch all the added sugar by making your own homemade sugar free strawberry jam! This simple recipe makes incredibly fruity jam that is suitable for low carb and Keto diets. You don´t need to use pectin to make my strawberry jam recipe. Normal jam recipes call for pectin to be used. Pectin helps to thicken the mixture, resulting in the thick jam.
I don’t believe in adding ingredients that aren’t absolutely necessary, especially when trying to eat as clean as possible. Some people may add pectin, but this recipe does not. It is easy to cook and reduce the mixture for the same effect without having to use additives.
One of my favorite things about spring is that is strawberries season. Finally, my vegetable garden starts to give me strawberries and I’m so happy about that! I think strawberries are my favorite fruit. I could eat them all day long! And finally, some strawberries get made into jam!

How to make keto and sugar-free strawberry jam?
- Remove the tops from the strawberries and slice into quarters.
- In a saucepan, combine all ingredient over medium heat.
- Bring the mixture to a light boil, stirring occasionally.
- Slowly begin to reduce heat every few minutes, letting the mixture continue to cook and thicken; stir occasionally
- When the mixture has reached your desired jam consistency, remove from heat and place into a Mason jar or other air-tight container.
- Place into the fridge and let cool; will keep for a few days.
No preservative, no pectic, no cornstarch, no artificial sweetener or no color. Isn’t that great?
